Episode 2 of the Sissi State Podcast is all about Super Smash Bros. This time we talk to Jan ‘J4Ncp’ Ortmann, Head of Fighting at Sissi State Punks and tournament organizer of several fighting tournaments and cups in Germany. He talks to us about the DACH scene in Smash and life as a TO. After more than 5 years working at ESL, it’s time for him to say something about his work and his plans for the future.

Jan “J4Ncp” Ortmann
Jan is only 22 years old and has been with SSP since the beginning. He is responsible for the Fighting Games division at the Punks. He has also been the organizer of several tournaments and tournament series (on- and offline) since he was 16 years old and has also worked for companies like ESL. As a TO (tournament organizer), he can look back on many great events, like the ESL One Cologne, Twitch Rivals, A1 eSports League and much more. Through his years of experience, he can also tell a lot. He is currently working on his own tournament series in Smash and is planning a lot for the future. He has already traveled halfway across the world for Smash tournaments and even plays Smash himself. Not extremely well, but it’s the passion that counts.
Nick “Pylonick” Hömke
As social media manager, Nick has been with SSP since the 1st hour. He previously served as LoL Manager for TKA and is now responsible for the Sissi State Podcast. Some social media posts and especially the R6 memes go to his account. When he’s not stuck in various jobs, he’s into good punk and rock music. And of course he has a super fluffy dog! (By the way, this is not an attitude characteristic to be accepted at SSP, even if very many have a super fluffy dog in the management.)
